Operating a business and stress go hand in hand. How one handles this stress is a key factor in quality of life considerations.
Two Rivers CDC is providing business related training with stress reduction techniques as an integral part of the classes. The sessions will be monthly, the second Tuesday, beginning Nov 12 and running until March 10 at the Reflections at Blackstar center in North Bend, WA. located in a heavily wooded area adjacent to Boxley Creek Park. The center has indoor and outdoor facilities.
The business aspects to be covered include aspects of SBA programs to include HUB Zone, 8a and Veteran certifications; Marketing and Client relationships, G &A calculations; Partnering, joint ventures and Mentor-Protégé; Growth Strategy and exit planning.
The Stress reduction aspect begins with a talking circle around a firepit and will evolve into multiple activities depending on the groups desire. Hiking, quiet meditation, forest bathing and individual exercises. The entire area is quiet; conducive to relaxation and mindfulness training.
