The Small Business Administration has multiple programs that allow tribally owned entities to have advantages in the federal procurement marketplace; among these are HUB Zone, 8a and Mentor-protégé.
Two Rivers CDC is conducting a series of weekly webinars to cover various aspects of these programs. The first session describes the objectives of each program and how tribes can access the advantages and opportunities.
The following webinars will go into detail on how to use to programs to generate tribal revenues by leveraging tribal location, government status, grant dollars, and partnerships.
Each webinar will build upon previous ones to increase one’s knowledge of the programs and how to approach them from a tribal perspective.
There will be extensive discussion relative to tribal sovereignty and individual requirements as they relate to eligibility and certification for the programs.
