It is recommended that Bidders notify Patrick Rogers of their intent to submit a Bid and register with KT’s Planholders’ List in order to receive electronic notification of issued Addenda. Bidders that do not register will not be notified of Addenda and will need to periodically check for Addenda on KT’s website http://www.kitsaptransit.com/agency-information/procurement during the Bid period and before submitting a Bid.

A pre-bid walk-through of the Project will be offered at 2:00 PM on February 2nd, 2016 at the George’s Corner Park & Ride Lot, 27618 NE Hansville Road, Kingston, WA 98346. Bidders are encouraged to attend. All questions regarding this project must be submitted in writing, via USPS or email to:

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified or cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond made payable to Kitsap Transit, for a sum not less than five (5) percent of the amount of such bid, including sales tax.

Kitsap Transit expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive irregularities, and to award the Project to the lowest responsive bidder.

Scope of work
Kitsap Transit is seeking sealed Bids (IFB) from qualified sources for the George’s Corner Park & Ride Lot Improvement Project consists of repairing approximately 78,000 square feet of asphalt parking and 30 square feet of concrete pavement and sidewalk. Improvements include, but are not limited to,

  • Performing a topographical survey of the lot and providing Kitsap Transit with updated topographical drawings
  • Removing debris and wheel stops
  • Filling cracks in concrete pavement and sidewalk (15 transverse cracks)
  • Providing a seal coat to asphalt pavement
  • Reinstalling wheel stops
  • Installing detectable warning surfaces onto accessible ramps (2)
  • Replacing pavement marks and striping based on Kitsap Transit-approved design. Paint will be Low VOC Waterborne as detailed in WSDOT Standard Specifications. Line lengths, widths and layout are detailed in bid item numbers and plan drawings
  • Provide a solution to divert stormwater from Type I Junction Box, H
